BEHIND THE LENS

"My goal isn’t to capture the perfect picture,
but to give you a picture of the perfect moment".

From those pictures of my high school friends,
or the many little weekend road trips,
to the array of moments with family.
One thing is for sure,
photography has never lost its WOW factor with me.

The excitement of seeing
a particular moment in print, captured for all of time,
is something I truly live for.

It feeds my soul.... Revives my spirit ...
and has become a large part of the person I am today.

Although I love photography in general,
I would have to say that my ultimate passion
lies in photographing people and
capturing those wonderful candid moments.

The smiles, the frowns, the dimples,
and all of those little moments in between.
The moments in life that are always so fleeting.
They are all the foundation for my love of photography.

Through the years I have realized more and more,
that all of these little things, these little moments,
are what truly make up the big things in life
that bring us all so much joy.

It is this passion
that drives me to do everything in my power
to ensure that I capture them for you
through my photography.

THE DETAILS

Location, Location, Location...

Locally, we are so blessed with an abundance of beautiful parks,
beaches and natural landscapes.

Outdoor shoots, preferably early morning
or late afternoon when natural lighting
is at its best, produce the best and
most natural photographs.

I do have the necessary equipment
for your session to be done in a studio
setting. However, it is my experience
that those perfect moments are the ones
which are captured in the most natural
settings where everyone, especially
children, feel comfortable and free
to express their true selves!!

There isn't a child or adult I know that when placed in one of these surroundings,
doesn't feel relaxed and totally at ease, not to mention the smiles that very naturally appear on the faces of young and old alike.

What to wear...

Just as a comfortable setting works best,
so does comfortable clothing.

Jeans, tee shirts, sundresses and casual
clothing all seem to work best along with
clothing that reflects a personality or a
passion such as a favorite hat or accessory.

You may also want to consider coordinating
colors and outfits when it comes to family or
siblings. It is best to avoid large prints, logos
or appliques which will ultimately distract
the eye when viewing your photographs.

There is also nothing more distracting to a
person or child than tight or uncomfortable
clothing. Remember, the idea is to relax and
have fun and in doing so, to capture the
spirit, expression, and feeling of the person
and the moment.

Once again,
our most cherished memories
do not come from the
perfect photo,
but from the photo of
those perfect moments...
